Sport Chrono Package8LHMust-have

Full Sport Chrono Package for the 992, including the steering-wheel-mounted mode switch (manettino), dynamic engine mounts, Sport Response button for immediate full-throttle readiness, and launch control on PDK cars. Standard on GTS, Turbo S, GT3, and Carrera T. The manual gearbox on Carrera S/4S/GTS and Carrera T comes bundled with 8LH. Remains the most resale-critical option on the 992 — PDK cars without it notably lack launch control and the full mode spectrum.

Sports Exhaust System — Silver Tailpipes0P8

Switchable Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) with chromed silver tailpipe finishers. Provides a dramatically louder open exhaust character in Sport and Sport Plus modes while remaining subdued in Normal mode. The 992 PSE with the turbo-flat-six produces a distinctive, complex sound that differs meaningfully from the naturally aspirated 991.2 note. An essential option for buyers who care about exhaust character.

Sports Exhaust System — Black Tailpipes0P9

Functionally identical to 0P8 (switchable PSE) but with black-finished tailpipes for a darker, more understated aesthetic. The performance and sound character are identical to the silver tailpipe variant — the choice is purely cosmetic. Popular on dark-coloured or 'stealth' specification 992s.

Chassis7 options

PCCB — Yellow Calipers1LQ

Factory ceramic composite brakes with signature yellow calipers on the 992. Standard on Turbo S and GT3 RS; optional elsewhere. Replacement disc and pad costs can exceed £10,000–£20,000 per set — inspect disc vanes carefully for crack propagation before purchase. A clear visual identifier for track-use buyers; a potential liability for high-mileage road cars.

Rear-Axle Steering (Four-Wheel Steering)0N5

Four-wheel steering system with up to 2.8° of rear wheel angle, countersteering below approximately 50 km/h for agility and co-steering above 80 km/h for stability. Optional on Carrera S and 4S; standard on Turbo S, GT3, and GT3 RS. Cannot be retrofitted. Transforms the car's agility and point-to-point feel — one of the most highly recommended individual options available on the 992 for any buyer.

PTV+ (Electronic Rear Differential)GH3

Electronically controlled rear differential for PDK-equipped Carrera S and 4S, integrating with PASM and Sport Chrono for a holistic chassis management effect. Standard on Turbo and Turbo S. Provides faster, more precise torque vectoring than a mechanical LSD. Highly desirable on S and 4S PDK configurations — a meaningful chassis upgrade for spirited drivers.

PCCB — Black Calipers1LX

Identical ceramic composite brakes to 1LQ but with black-painted calipers for a more understated appearance. Identical performance and identical replacement cost considerations apply. A popular choice on darker or more monochromatic 992 builds where yellow calipers would look incongruous.

PDCC (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control)1P7

Active hydraulic anti-roll system stiffening the relevant axle's anti-roll bars under cornering loads, minimising body roll while maintaining ride quality over straight-line bumps. Optional on S, 4S, and GTS; standard on Turbo S. Works in concert with PASM (standard on all 992). One of the highest-impact ride and handling upgrades on the 992.

Front-Axle Lift System2UH

Raises the front ride height by approximately 40 mm at the touch of a button to protect the low front apron over speed bumps, ramps, and driveways. Stores GPS locations for automatic activation at known obstacles. Strongly recommended for any 992 used on UK roads, where the front apron sits very low. Cannot be retrofitted.

Extended Fuel Tank (90 L)0I2

Replaces the standard fuel tank with a 90-litre unit, increasing range by approximately 20–25%. Available only on the 992 Carrera coupe body style. A useful touring option for long-distance UK and European road trip use.

Wheels6 options

20/21″ RS Spyder Design Wheels46J

The most desirable of the standard wheel options on the 992, with an open-spoke motorsport-derived design in 20-inch front / 21-inch rear staggered sizing. Highly popular on performance-focused 992 configurations and the most sought-after wheel on the used market.

20/21″ Carrera Exclusive Design Wheels46M

Higher-specification optional design with a more detailed spoke pattern. Typically associated with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur (Sonderwunsch) appointments.

20/21″ Carrera S Wheels46I

Standard-specification 20/21-inch Carrera S wheels in a multi-spoke design. Included as standard on Carrera S variants; will not appear on build sheet as an option for those cars.

20/21″ Carrera Classic Wheels46K

Retro 5-spoke Carrera Classic design in 20/21-inch staggered fitment. A popular choice for buyers preferring a traditional 911 wheel aesthetic.

Wheels in Black High-Gloss1NV

Factory high-gloss black wheel finish across any of the 992 wheel designs. Popular on darker body colours for a monochromatic look. More susceptible to visible kerbing than satin or standard silver finishes.

Wheels Painted in Exterior Colour1NY

Factory paint on the alloy wheels to match the exterior body colour. A distinctive and unusual specification that commands notice and provides strong visual cohesion on the right colour combinations.

Exterior7 options

LED-Matrix Headlights with PDLS Plus8IU

Upgrade from the standard LED headlights (8IS, fitted to all 992s) to full LED-Matrix units with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus. Adds individual pixel-level light distribution for motorway, cornering, and adverse-weather modes. An upgrade worth specifying for UK buyers who regularly drive on unlit rural roads. The black-housing version is coded 8JU.

Lightweight Carbon-Fibre Roof (CFRP)3FF

Factory carbon-fibre roof panel replacing the standard steel roof, reducing weight and lowering the centre of gravity. Optional on S, 4S, and GTS; standard on GT3 RS. Not compatible with the panoramic or sliding sunroof options. A meaningful performance-focused weight reduction and an increasingly sought-after factory option on the UK market.

LED-Matrix Headlights in Black with PDLS Plus8JU

Identical functionality to 8IU (LED-Matrix with PDLS Plus) but with black housing trim around the light clusters, matching the dark-design aesthetic. A cosmetic variant of the same performance upgrade.

Panoramic Glass Sunroof3FE

Electric panoramic glass roof. Not compatible with the carbon-fibre roof (3FF). A popular comfort option; mutually exclusive with the CFRP roof so buyers must choose between open-air comfort and weight reduction.

Aerokit (Fixed Rear Wing)VM2

Fixed rear wing aerokit replacing the standard retractable spoiler on GTS variants. Provides additional downforce at speed and a visually aggressive GT3-adjacent appearance. Factory-coded appearance that cannot be economically replicated with aftermarket parts to the same standard.

SportDesign Package2D1

Front and rear apron and side skirt aerodynamic styling package. Provides a more aggressive visual stance. The full SportDesign package (2D1) includes all body elements; a front-apron-only variant is coded 2D4.

Protective Foil — Front Section (PPF)ASV

Factory-applied paint protection film on the front bumper and bonnet section. A practical option for buyers who plan to use the car on motorways where stone chip damage is common. Adds resale value by protecting the front end.

Interior11 options

Adaptive Sports Seats Plus 18-Way ElectricQ1J

18-way electrically adjustable adaptive sport seats with automatic side bolster adjustment linked to driving mode. Memory included. Side bolsters firm under Sport Plus mode when Sport Chrono (8LH) is active. The most capable standard-format seat on the 992 and the recommended choice for performance-focused buyers who do not want fixed bucket seats.

Sports Seats 14-Way Electric with MemoryQ2J

14-way electrically adjustable sport seats with memory. A step below the Q1J 18-way adaptive seats; widely fitted on standard Carrera and 4S configurations.

Heated Seats (Front)4A3

Factory heated front seats. An essential comfort option for UK driving conditions, particularly during autumn to spring. Absence is a genuine daily-use detractor.

Roof Lining in Race-Tex (Microfibre)6NN

Race-Tex microfibre headliner (Porsche's proprietary equivalent of Alcantara) replacing the standard cloth. Standard on GT3. Adds a premium, motorsport-derived feel to the cabin.

Carbon Interior Package (Matt)5MH

Factory matte-finish carbon-fibre trim across the dashboard, door panels, and console. A popular performance aesthetic on 992 builds. The matt finish is less prone to showing fingerprints than high-gloss alternatives.

GT Sport Steering Wheel in Leather2FS

GT-style flat-bottomed sport steering wheel in leather, replacing the standard multifunction wheel. A popular upgrade for buyers seeking a more driver-focused cabin feel. Compatible with the heated wheel option.

GT Sport Steering Wheel in Race-Tex1MT

GT-style flat-bottomed steering wheel trimmed in Race-Tex microfibre rather than leather. Offers improved grip during spirited driving compared to the leather version. Popular on track-focused builds.

Heated Steering Wheel2ZC

Factory heated steering wheel. Strongly recommended for UK winter use; absence on a daily-driven 992 is a noticeable omission.

Seat Ventilation (Front)4D3

Factory ventilated front seats. Less critical for UK conditions than heated seats but valued on higher-specification builds.

Seat Belts in Guards RedFZ1

Factory seat belts in Guards Red on the 992 — the code changes from the 991's XSX to FZ1 on this generation. The most popular coloured belt option on UK-market 992s.

Seat Belts in Racing YellowFZ4

Factory seat belts in Racing Yellow on the 992, coded FZ4. Typically specified on Speed Yellow cars or for high-contrast interior combinations.

Technology9 options

Burmester High-End Surround Sound System9VJ

Burmester high-end audio system — the top-tier audio option on the 992. A genuine step up in audio quality over Bose, particularly in detail retrieval, spatial imaging, and dynamics. Recommended for buyers who regularly listen to music in the car.

Bose Surround Sound System9VL

Bose surround sound system on the 992. The entry-level premium audio upgrade over the standard system. PCM 6.0 with a 10.9-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and navigation is standard on all 992s — the audio upgrade is an add-on to the standard system.

Reversing CameraKA2

Factory reversing camera integrated into the rear apron. A practical urban convenience that UK buyers increasingly expect. The surround-view 360° camera (KA6) is the premium alternative.

Surround View (360° Camera)KA6

360° around-view camera system generating a bird's-eye perspective from four cameras integrated into the bodywork. More capable than the standard reversing camera, particularly useful in tight car parks. Highly practical on a car with limited low-speed visibility.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)8T3

Radar-based adaptive cruise control maintaining a set gap to the vehicle ahead. A standard expectation for motorway buyers. The InnoDrive system (3V1) is the premium alternative, adding predictive speed management using navigation data.

Porsche InnoDrive (Predictive ACC)3V1

Porsche's predictive driver assistance system combining adaptive cruise control with navigation-data-based speed anticipation — automatically braking for upcoming bends, roundabouts, and speed limits before the driver needs to react. A genuinely useful motorway and A-road assistant, and worth the step up from standard ACC for buyers doing regular longer journeys.

Night Vision Assist9R1

Thermal imaging night vision system displaying pedestrians and large animals on the PCM screen at distances beyond the headlight range. First available on the 992 within the 911 range — not available on any 997, 991.1, or 991.2. A niche but genuinely useful safety feature for UK countryside driving at night. Rare on UK cars.

Lane Change Assist7Y1

Radar-based blind-spot monitoring warning of vehicles in adjacent lanes via a mirror indicator light. An increasingly standard expectation on modern sports cars used on UK motorways.

Porsche Entry & Drive (Keyless)4F2

Passive keyless entry and push-button start. Note: relay theft of keyless entry cars is a known issue in the UK; buyers should consider a Faraday pouch or steering lock as precautions.
